PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to perform restriction/restriction mitigation on alternatives of user setting depending on magnitude of a power storage residual amount of a storage battery.SOLUTION: A projection apparatus 1 comprises: a storage battery 7; a residual amount detection unit 8 for detecting a power storage residual amount of the storage battery 7; and a system controller 3. The system controller 3 includes: setting means for performing setting of user setting having a plurality of alternatives as a setting condition of the projection apparatus 1; permission determination means for determining permission of selecting the plurality of alternatives associated with the user setting set by the setting means, on the basis of the power storage residual amount detected by the residual amount detection unit 8; and reporting means for reporting an alternative that the permission determination means inhibits from being selected and another alternative that the permission determination means permits to be selected, so that the alternative can be distinguished from the other.
