The present invention relates to the field of biopharmaceutics. Provided in the present invention is a polypeptide. The polypeptide contains a sequence as represented by SEQ ID NO 9 and has an inhibitory effect against infection by novel coronavirus HCoV-EMC 2012. Also provided in the present invention are a nucleic acid molecule for coding the polypeptide, a related recombinant protein, a nucleic acid molecule, an expression vector, and a recombinant cell. The polypeptide of the present invention can be prepared into a pharmaceutical agent with a medically often-acceptable carrier or excipient, is for use in the prevention or inhibition of infection by novel coronavirus HCoV-EMC 2012, and can be combined with other medicaments. The present invention provides a candidate polypeptide medicament for the prevention or treatment of infection by novel coronavirus HCoV-EMC 2012.
