PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient and simple mild method for producing hollow silica nanoparticles containing many particles having particle outer diameter in a range of 30 to 500 nm, in particular 50 to 200 nm.SOLUTION: The method for producing hollow silica nanoparticles is characterized to include: a step to obtain a dispersion of association product by forming an association product of a copolymer having aliphatic polyamine chain with primary amino group and/or secondary amino group and hydrophobic organic segment in a mixed medium of water and solvent, followed by removing all or part of the solvent; a step of obtaining core-shell type silica nanoparticles by adding a silica source to the dispersion of association product obtained by the previous step and carrying out a sol-gel reaction of the silica source using the association product as template to crystallize silica; and a step to remove copolymer from the core-shell type silica nanoparticles obtained. Also a hollow silica nanoparticles obtained by said production method. |
