An isolator system (100) is equipped with a substantially box-shaped isolator (110) which forms a working space (A) isolated from the surroundings, a sterilizing unit (140) which sprays a sterilizing mist of a sterilizing liquid in mist form from a nozzle (143) mounted within the isolator (110), and a control unit (160) which controls the operation of the sterilizing unit (140), the sterilizing unit (140) spraying the sterilizing mist intermittently during spraying.
