PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-emitting device, excellent in light extraction efficiency, having a plurality of LED chips.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device 1 includes: a chip substrate 2a; a crystalline layer 2b containing a luminescent layer; and a plurality of LED chips 2 arranged in series. In an arbitrary LED chip 2 among the plurality of LED chips 2, a side surface S1 of the chip substrate 2a facing another neighboring LED chip 2 is a surface of strongest cleavage property among all side surfaces of the chip substrate 2a. |
