PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine drive work machine capable of securing a sufficient generation amount of pure water.SOLUTION: The engine drive work machine 10 comprises a water generator 20 for generating pure water from a portion of raw water. The water generator 20 comprises: a separator 35 disposed in a closed space 39 formed by a vaporizer 31 and a condenser 33; an opening 36 disposed in the center of the separator 35; and a shielding plate 37 covering the upper side of the opening 36. The separator 35 is inclined so that it can guide the pure water generated in the condenser 33 toward a water taking-out port 81. The opening 36 is opened such that it can guide the vapor vaporized in the vaporizer 31 to the condenser 33. The shielding plate 37 is formed such that it can prevent the dropping of pure water generated in the condenser 33, to vaporizer 31 and such that it can guide the generated pure water to the separator 35. |
