PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which performs effective cooling by means of heat sink by improving thermal conductivity of a fluorescent body, prevents temperature extinction from occurring and, further, efficiently permits radiation of the generated fluorescence such that the fluorescence is not enclosed in the fluorescent body, in the light emitting device which makes excitation light incident, has the fluorescent body which radiates fluorescent light and discharges heat of the fluorescent body via the heat sink in contact with the fluorescent body.SOLUTION: A light emitting device is characterized in that a fluorescent body is made of bulk-shaped crystal and scattering bodies which scatter fluorescence are dispersed on an internal part of the fluorescent body. |
