<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data archive system which allows for continuing a data recording process when replacing recording media storage units, and to provide a data library apparatus.SOLUTION: When a recording medium stored in a first recording media storage unit, not mounted on a data library apparatus, is selected as a recording medium for recording data, the data library apparatus temporarily records the data on a recording medium stored in a second recording media storage unit mounted on the data library apparatus. When the first recording media storage unit is mounted, the storage medium stored in the first recording media storage unit and the recording medium with the temporarily recorded data in the second recording media storage unit are exchanged between the two recording media storage units.</p> |
