PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device and a power-down control method that implement a reduced power consumption and a reduced cost.SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes: a pull-up circuit 14 switchable between a connecting state to connect an input terminal PD and a power supply VDD via a resistor R0 and a non-connecting state to block the connection; a pull-up circuit 12 switchable between a supplying state to supply a current to the input terminal PD and a non-supplying state to block the supply; and a signal generation circuit 18 for, when the input terminal PD is set open, switching the pull-up circuit 12 and the pull-up circuit 14 to the non-supplying state and the connecting state, respectively, to output a first signal of a potential depending on the setting of the input terminal PD, and when the input terminal PD is set short-circuiting, switching the pull-up circuit 12 and the pull-up circuit 14 to the supplying state and the non-connecting state, respectively, to output a second signal of a potential depending on the setting of the input terminal PD. |
