摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a throughput of image compression processing.SOLUTION: An image compression device 10 includes a rearrangement unit 12, a PCM pixel insertion unit 14, a compression unit 16 and an output stream generation unit 18. The rearrangement unit 12 receives an input stream in which a plurality of original pixels included in original image data is arranged in a raster scan order, and modifies the arrangement of the plurality of original pixels to generate rearranged data. The PCM pixel insertion unit 14 outputs pulse code modulation pixels according to predetermined insertion intervals of pulse code modulation pixels. The compression unit 16 performs differential coding processing using the pulse code modulation pixels and the rearranged data, to generate coded data. The output stream generation unit 18 inserts pulse code modulation pixels to the coded data at the insertion positions of the pulse code modulation pixels according to the coordinates of the original pixels, to generate an output stream.</p>
