A drive-assist unit for bogies that assists drive force applied to a bogie by an operator, comprising: a unit main body pivotably coupled to the bogie; an operation unit provided in the unit main body, press-operated by the operator, and capable of inputting drive force to the bogie via the unit main body; drive wheels rotatably provided in the front/rear direction of the unit main body and to which assist force corresponding to the operation of the operation unit is applied; a lower engagement mechanism capable of engaging with the bogie as a result of the unit main body being pushed on to the bogie; and an upper engagement mechanism provided above the lower engagement mechanism and capable of engaging with the bogie as a result of a locking member being fitted therein by the operator. |
