In related art, no consideration is given to a delay time in a video transmission in improving the image quality of the video being transmitted. Provided is an image information coding method, comprising: an analysis step of analyzing an inputted image; a quantization parameter computation step of computing a quantization parameter, using the result of the analysis in the analysis step; and an encoding step of carrying out encoding of the inputted image, using the quantization parameter which is computed in the quantization parameter computation step. The size of a first region which is analyzed in the analysis step is variable. |
