<p>Provided are a polyphenylene sulfide monofilament having stable physical properties and a production method therefor. The polyphenylene sulfide monofilament is characterized by an oil component that adheres to the fiber surface thereof being only a polyether component. It is preferable that the oil content that adheres to the fiber surface be 0.4-1.5 mass%. In the production method for the polyphenylene sulfide monofilament, a polyphenylene sulfide is melt spun, a water-based emulsion is applied to the fiber so that 0.4-1.5 mass% of an adherent oil component that is a polyether component adheres thereto, and the fiber is subsequently stretched.</p> |
