PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting and receiving device which is relatively small-sized and has relatively high light detection accuracy.SOLUTION: A light emitting and receiving device includes: a light receiving part 20 composed of a reverse conductive type region 21 obtained by doping one conductive type semiconductor substrate 10 with a reverse conductive type impurity, and a partial region 22 of the one conductive type semiconductor substrate 10 positioned around the reverse conductive type region 21; a laminate 30 composed of a one conductive type buffer layer 31 and a reverse conductive type layer 32 sequentially stacked from the side of a main surface 10a of the semiconductor substrate 10, at a position apart from the reverse conductive type region 21 and partial region 22 on the main surface 10a; and a light emitting part 40 composed of a one conductive type first contact layer 41, a light emitting layer 42, and a reverse conductive type second contact layer 43 which are stacked on the laminate 30. |
