PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas separation membrane being formed with a new soluble polyimide and having both improved gas separation performance and long-period stability under the condition of using the membrane and to provide a gas separation method using the gas separation membrane.SOLUTION: An asymmetric hollow fiber gas separation membrane formed with a polyimide comprises a tetracarboxylic acid component based on a diphenyl sulfone structure and a diphenylhexafluoropropane structure and a diamine component where at least a part includes a specific structure.
