PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the circuitry extremely while reducing heat generation of a rectifier circuit, and to prevent failure of a rectifier cell, used in a rectifier circuit, due to abnormal conditions of breakdown voltage effectively, by using an inexpensive semiconductor switching element.SOLUTION: A battery build-in apparatus and a charging stand consists of a charging stand 10 including a transmission coil 11, and a battery build-in apparatus 50 incorporating a reception coil 51 coupled electromagnetically with the transmission coil 11. The built-in battery 52 of the battery build-in apparatus 50 is charged with power carried from the transmission coil 11 to the reception coil 51. The battery build-in apparatus 50 includes a full wave rectifier circuit 53 for rectifying AC current induced in the reception coil 51, a charging circuit 54 for charging the built-in battery 52 of the battery build-in apparatus 50 with the output from the full wave rectifier circuit 53, and a short circuit 70 consisting of a semiconductor switching element 71 for protecting the semiconductor element of the full wave rectifier circuit 53 by short-circuiting the output side of the full wave rectifier circuit 53 at the time of abnormality. |
