<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably prevent a cover from being closed with a discharge port remaining closed by a shutter.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a toner container 5 comprising a container body 22 having a discharge port, a shutter 28 for opening and closing the discharge port, and a lever connected to the shutter 28; an apparatus body 2 to which the toner container 5 is attached; and a cover 6 which is attached to the apparatus body 2 in an openable/closable manner and covers a part of the toner container 5. The lever 26 is provided in such a manner that it can move between: a closing position which makes the shutter 28 close the discharge port and interferes with the cover 6; and an opening position which makes the shutter 28 open the discharge port and allows closing of the cover 6 without interfering with the cover 6. When the cover 6 is closed while the lever 26 is in the closing position, the cover 6 presses the lever 26 and makes the lever 26 move from the closing position to the opening position.</p> |
