<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a thermistor element by which the gap between an electrode part and a thermistor part can be reduced.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a thermistor element having a thermistor part composed of a metal oxide sintered compact which changes in resistance according to a temperature, a pair of electrode parts formed on a first face of the strip-like thermistor part, and a second face on the opposite side to the first face respectively, and a pair of lead wires connected with the pair of electrode parts respectively comprises the steps of: coating the first and second faces of the metal oxide sintered compact with a first metal paste including a conductive metal and having a first viscosity, followed by drying (S3); after the first coating step, coating the first and second faces, which have been coated with the first metal paste, with a second metal paste including a conductive metal and having a second viscosity larger than the first viscosity, followed by drying (S4); and after the second coating step, performing a thermal treatment on the first metal paste and the second metal paste to form metal layers (S5).</p> |
