Provided is a winding component that makes it such that, using a large-diameter electrical wire that can carry large currents, a core and a lead wire from a coil are insulated from each other and the electrical wire is easy to wind. The present invention is a winding component provided with a core (7) that surrounds a coil (5) and end surfaces of flange parts (4) so as to form a closed magnetic circuit. Notches (6) through which the ends (5a) of the coil (5) pass to the outside are formed in the flange parts (4) so as to extend radially inwards from the outer edges thereof, and walls (9) that surrounds said notches (6) are provided perpendicularly so as to extend axially outwards. Thick sections (8) that are thicker than other sections are formed in the areas of a winding part (3) where the aforementioned notches (6) are formed. Caps (10) that each comprise the following are provided: side walls (10b) that cover the outer surfaces of the abovementioned walls (9) between said outer surfaces and the abovementioned core (7); and an end panel (10a) that is formed on the axially outwards edges of the side walls (10b) and covers an opening (9a) between the aforementioned walls (9). |
