The present invention relates to a composition for strengthening the kidney function and improving edema including a composition prepared by mixing pumpkin having improved arginine by processing at high pressure with watermelon extracts and 5 kinds of berries with improved citrulline in a ratio of 5:3:2, as active ingredients. Arginine and citrulline amino acids is amino acids of urea cycle in which toxic ammonia is decomposed into non-toxic urea in liver, prevents the kidney from being damaged and smoothly circulates blood with expanded blood vessels by facilitating waste product decomposition. thereby being effective in strengthening kidney function and alleviating edema. The composition of the present invention can be used as an effective composition in alleviating edema because the strengthened kidney function is checked by measuring creatinine in the blood and proteinuria which is a marker for testing the kidney function.
