PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a change in white balance due to temperature in an image display device that uses an MEMS and a laser light source.SOLUTION: An image processing part of the device superimposes a signal based on a first measurement value of an amount of light at first temperature on a video signal to be supplied to a laser light source. An amplification factor of a light source drive part is changed such that a second measurement value at second temperature approaches with the first measurement value at the first temperature as a target value with an amount of light generated by the laser light source in the signal based on the first measurement value on the basis of the second measurement value measured at the second temperature different from the first temperature.
