The present invention relates to a support device (20; 40; 60; 70; 90) for holding dishing goods in a dishwasher (10) comprising at least one basket (16a, 16b). The support device comprises: support means (21; 41; 61; 71; 91) for arranging the support device on the at least one basket; and holding means (27; 47; 67; 77: 97) for holding the dishing goods in a position vertically displaced from the basket (16a, 16b). The present invention furthermore relates to a dishwasher (10) comprising the support device (20; 40; 60; 70; 90) according to the invention.
