The present invention relates to: a laminate that comprises an adhesive layer in which glue residue does not tend to occur and which has adhesion and a substrate layer; a protective film comprising the laminate; and a method for manufacturing the laminate. This laminate comprises an adhesive layer and a substrate layer, wherein the adhesive layer includes a hydrogenated copolymer containing an aromatic vinyl compound-derived structural unit (a) and a conjugated diene-derived structural unit (b), the content of a farnesene-derived structural unit(b1) being 1-100 mass% and the content of a conjugated diene-derived structural unit (b2) other than farnesene being 0-99 mass% in the total amount of the conjugated diene-derived structural unit (b), and hydrogenation rate of carbon-carbon double bonds in the conjugated diene-derived structural unit (b) being 50 mol% or more.
