This multiple cylinder rotary compressor is provided with: first and second cylinders; first and second rollers which eccentrically rotate in the first and second cylinder chambers; a first blade for partitioning the interior of the first cylinder chamber; a second blade for partitioning the interior of the second cylinder chamber, the second blade being formed from a magnetic material; a blade back chamber for housing the end part of the second blade; a working pressure supply part for selectively supplying a working pressure to the interior of the blade back chamber; a fixing component disposed in a direction perpendicular to the direction of movement of the second blade in the blade back chamber; a permanent magnet provided to the fixing component, the permanent magnet fixing the second blade at a position not in contact with the second roller; and a check valve mechanism provided to the fixing component.
