<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of acquiring brighter illumination light with a simple configuration, a projector and electronic equipment.SOLUTION: An illumination device 2 includes: a light guide body 7 in which areas of a light incident end surface 7a and a light emission end surface 7c facing with each other are relatively larger than an area of a display region in a liquid crystal display element 3; and a light source 8 which is arranged on the light incident end surface 7a side of the light guide body 7. At the light emission end surface 7c of the light guide body 7, a first opening is formed having an area substantially equal to the area of the display region of the liquid crystal display element 3, and a light emission side reflection member is provided in the region other than the first opening. On the light incident side of the light guide body, a light incident side reflection member is provided facing th light emission side reflection member in an optical axis direction from the light source 8.</p> |
