PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera apparatus and a control method of the camera apparatus capable of performing proper imaging in a short time by using a polarizing filter while shifting imaging direction.SOLUTION: A camera apparatus 10A has a body 20 having a bearing member 32 rotatable on a first rotation shaft 31 which is perpendicular to a ceiling plane 11. The bearing member 32 has a camera unit 40 which is rotatable on a second rotation shaft 35 perpendicular to the first rotation shaft 31. A polarizing filter unit 50A attached to the camera unit 40 is capable of selecting between a shield state in which a light incident part of the camera unit 40 is covered by the polarizing filter 58 and a retreat state in which polarizing filter 58 is retreated from the light incident part. The camera apparatus 10A has a storage 71 storing rotation of the camera unit 40 and the state the polarizing filter 58, and a control section 70 that controls the camera apparatus 10A on the basis of the storage. When taking images, the control section 70 reads the information on an imaging target from the storage 71 and sets the same, to make it possible to image the target in a short time. |
