<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an accurate two-dimensional image by use of a parallax image pair which is generated from two pieces of image information captured with a parallactic angle and associated in a three-dimensional manner.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: first imaging means for imaging a subject from a first direction which forms a predetermined parallactic angle facing the front of the subject, and second imaging means for imaging the subject from a second direction which forms a predetermined parallactic angle facing the front of the subject. A pixel pair associated with the same object is identified from first image information captured by the first imaging means and second image information captured by the second imaging means. Front image pixel information is generated from the identified pixel pair. A pixel pair, which cannot be identified from the predetermined parallactic angle, in the generated front image pixel information is corrected based on peripheral identified pixel pairs.</p> |
