The present invention relates to an alternating current driving type LED illumination apparatus. More specifically, the present invention suggests an alternating current driving type LED illumination apparatus having an improved arrangement structure for optimizing an arrangement of a plurality of light-emitting blocks arranged on a circuit board, and an arrangement of a drive IC and a plurality of LEDs, which are sequentially driven and included in the plurality of light-emitting blocks; and/or an effective LED connection relation configured to effectively connect a limited number of LEDs in series-parallel and increase luminous flux at an optimum efficiency.
