A lithium-ion cell is provided with a positive electrode in which a positive-electrode compound layer containing an active substance capable of storing and discharging lithium ions is formed on a positive-electrode current collector foil, a negative electrode in which a negative-electrode compound layer containing an active substance capable of storing and discharging lithium ions is formed on a negative-electrode current collector foil, a separator disposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode, and an electrolytic fluid, the positive electrode compound layer and/or the negative electrode compound layer containing multiple types of active substances. In the compound layers containing the multiple types of active substances, a lithium-content range in which entropy heat generation is negative during charging is broader than a lithium-content range in which entropy heat generation is negative during charging in a compound layer containing any one of the multiple types of active substances. Also, a lithium-content range in which entropy heat generation is negative during discharging is broader than a lithium-content range in which entropy heat generation is negative during discharging in a compound layer containing any one of the multiple types of active substances. |
