<p>A trans-tympanic antioxidant delivery apparatus. Generally, the apparatus includes a source of antioxidant. A delivery mechanism in fluid communication with the source is configured to deliver the antioxidant to a patient's ear canal. A regulator for regulating at least one of an antioxidant delivery pressure, an antioxidant delivery rate, an antioxidant delivery duration, an antioxidant delivery temperature, and an antioxidant delivery concentration. The apparatus includes a monitor for monitoring at least one of a blood-oxygen saturation level, a concentration of exhaled gas, an oxygen consumption, a blood pressure, a pulse, and a patient's cognitive interaction. A controller is in operable communication with at least one of the delivery mechanism, the regulator and the monitor and controls at least one of a delivery pressure, a delivery rate, a delivery duration, a delivery temperature, and a delivery concentration.</p> |
