The present invention relates to an electrode group stack having a stacking structure for electrode groups in which electrode groups are stacked in the height-wise direction with respect to a flat surface so that a cathode and an anode face each other with a separator therebetween, each electrode group comprising a cathode, an anode and a separator therebetween, wherein the stacking structure of the electrode groups is such that the boundaries thereof create steps, and the capacity ratio (N/P ratio or counter ratio) for opposing areas of cathode and anode from the electrode group boundaries is equal to or greater than the capacity ratio (N/P ratio or counter ratio) for the opposing areas of the cathode and anode of the electrode group having a relatively large oppositional area. |
