Piston compressor

The piston compressor has a piston (8) with a pocket (26) open toward a peripheral wall (24) of the piston, which forms a receiving space (30) for the oil. An opening (28) in the peripheral wall is situated vertically below the pocket in an installation position of the piston. Multiple pockets of the piston are spaced apart in the circumferential direction or axial direction of the piston. The openings of the pockets are situated on a circumferential line of the peripheral wall, where the openings are extended over a limited circumferential portion. The pockets are formed as the blind holes.
