The method involves providing environmental data that characterize the environment of the vehicle (100). The data in the environment is evaluated with respect to first object (104,106) in side of the vehicle environment, to indicate the potential parking space. The data in the environment is evaluated with respect to second object outside the lateral surroundings of the vehicle, to confirm the existence of the parking space (108). The available parking space is displayed. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) computer program for performing assistance of vehicle during parking; and (2) driver assistance system. |
