摘要 A wet electrolytic capacitor 100 comprising: a casing 12 defining an opening 59 and a sidewall 14 surrounding an interior 11, the casing 12 comprising a metal substrate coated with a electrochemically active material 17; an anode 20 formed of an anodically oxidised sintered porous body with an anode lead 42 extending therefrom; a fluid working electrolyte that is in contact with the electrically active material 17 and the anode 20; wherein the capacitor 100 exhibits an equivalent series resistance of 3,000 milliohms or less at a temperature of 200°C, measured with a 2 volt bias and 1 volt signal frequency of 120 Hz. Also disclosed is a wet electrolytic capacitor 100 comprising: a casing 12 that defines an opening 59 and a sidewall 14 surrounding an interior 11, the casing 12 comprising an anodically oxidised metal substrate having a dielectric layer with a thickness of from 10 nanometres to 500 nanometres, wherein the substrate is covered with an electrochemically active material 17; and an anode and fluid working electrolyte, as above. Further disclosed is a wet electrolytic capacitor 100 as in the first instance, wherein the capacitor 100 further comprises a sealing assembly 50 that covers the opening 59 in the casing and includes a hermetic seal 54 and a barrier seal 70, wherein the barrier seal 70 contains an elastomeric material. Ultimately disclosed is a method of forming the wet electrolytic capacitor of the second instance.
