Provided are a system and a method for manufacturing an optical display device and a material roll, which can effectively prevent the production of defective optical display devices (U) even in a process including drawing a long sheet material from a material roll and bonding an optical film to an optical display unit (W), and which is a roll of a laminate of a first base film (F12), a first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (F14), an optical film (F11), a second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (F15), and a second base film (F13), which are wound in the roll in this order from the outside, and has a width corresponding to the length of any one side of a rectangular optical display unit (W), wherein the adhering strength A of the first base film-side interface of the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (F14), the adhering strength B of the optical film-side interface of the first pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (F14), the adhering strength C of the optical film-side interface of the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (F15), and the adhering strength D of the second base film-side interface of the second pressure-sensitive adhesive layer (F15) satisfy the relations A<B and A<C<D. |
