The present invention relates to a welding point detector. The welding point detector includes: a light emitting sensor member positioned under a leading strip to irradiate light onto the leading strip and a trailing strip in the state that the light emitting sensor member does not make contact with the leading and trailing strips; a photodetector sensor positioned above the leading strip corresponding to the light emitting sensor member to detect the existence of the leading strip or the trailing strip depending on the reception of light irradiated from the light emitting sensor member; a welding part marking hole formed in the leading strip provided at a predetermined distance from welding positions of the leading and trailing strips in the direction of the leading strip; and a control unit to generate a signal used to calculate the welding positions of the leading strip and the trailing strip through the light emitting sensor member and the photodetector sensor to detect the welding part marking hole. According to the present invention, differently from the related art, the welding positions of the leading and the trailing strips can be easily detected by detecting the hole formed through the leading strip. If the leading strip has a width different from that of the trailing strip, the scanning range of a hole detection sensor is varied, so that the endurance of the sensor can be improved. |
