<p>The drill (10) has a drill head (11) made of a hard metal and a shaft (12) or a coupling piece (16) made of a sintered iron alloy. The shaft/coupling piece is defined with a depression. The drill head is comprised of two contiguous cutting edges (20, 21) and a journal at the bottom (17), where the journal is partly inserted in depression by thermomechanical tension. The drill head is joined to the sintered iron alloy by a sintered material connection. The hard metal contains tungsten carbide and a metal that is selected from a group consisting of cobalt, nickel, iron, chromium and molybdenum. The sintered iron alloy contains 45 percentage by weight of iron. The iron alloy contains 25-55 percentage by weight of nickel and 0-20 percentage by weight of one or more elements from a group consisting of cobalt, chromium and titanium. An independent claim is also included for a drill production method.</p> |
