<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide means capable of stably carrying out continuous coating, relating to a method for forming a uniform UV-curing outermost layer on an elastic roller by a ring coating process. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an elastic roller includes: a coating step of discharging a UV-curing coating material on an elastic layer surface by using a ring coating head having a slit type injection outlet opened in the whole perimeter to the elastic layer surface in an oxygen-containing atmosphere around the injection outlet and applying the UV-curing coating material on the elastic layer surface so as to form an uncured coating film on the elastic layer; and a curing step of curing the uncured coating film on the elastic layer continuously with the coating step, by irradiating the coating film with UV rays from UV ray irradiation means while approximately covering the periphery of a portion to be irradiated with UV rays in the uncured coating film and supplying an inert gas thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
