The method involves introducing the to be combusted solids over an inlet into a combustion chamber, and combusting the solids with supply of primary air in the combustion chamber provided in the form of a combustion bed conveyed over a combustion grate (27) having multiple grate elements. The combustion grate is divided in multiple paths (I,II,III,IV) in a direction transverse to the conveying direction (F). Each path is assigned to a radiation detector. An independent claim is included for a radiation detector of measuring device for detecting electromagnetic radiation in the visible or ultraviolet spectral range. |
