A refrigerator according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a body, which has at least one of a refrigerating compartment maintained at the temperature above the freezing temperature and a freezing compartment maintained at the temperature below the freezing temperature; a cryogenic storage room, which is formed in the body and is maintained at the temperature below the temperature of the freezing compartment inside the storage room; a compressor, which compresses refrigerant at high temperature and pressure; a condenser, which is connected to the outlet of the compressor and condenses the high temperature, high pressure refrigerant; a first expansion valve, which is connected to the outlet of the condenser and expands the refrigerant into low temperature, low pressure two-phase refrigerant; a first evaporator, which is connected to the outlet of the expansion valve and changes the refrigerant into low temperature, low pressure gas refrigerant; and a heater, which is provided at the outside of the first expansion valve and lowers the evaporation temperature of the refrigerant below the temperature inside the freezing compartment by supplying heat to the first expansion valve. |
