PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gaming machine capable of preventing fraudulent acts and also reducing the processing load and wearing degree of a detecting means, concerning various kinds of prize winning gates installed in the gaming machine. SOLUTION: The gaming machine is provided with: ball entry detecting SWs 34a, 30a, 31a, 32a that detect ball entry in a jackpot winning gate 34, starting winning gates 30, 31, and a general winning gate 32 respectively; and an assembly section detecting SW 38a that detects game balls in an assembly section 38 in which game balls entering the winning gates are assembled. Prize balls are put out on the condition that the game balls entering each winning gate are detected in the assembly section detecting SW 38a within a prescribed period after the game balls are detected in the ball entry detecting SWs 34a, 30a, 31a, 32a. Then, when playing a jackpot game, detection of ball entry is performed by all winning gate detecting SWs including the jackpot winning gate detecting SW 34a. Meantime, in a regular game in which the jackpot game is not played, detection of ball entry is performed by the winning gate detecting SWs excluding the jackpot winning gate detecting SW 34a.
