<p>A generator (1) for a direct drive windmill, having a rotor (2) and a stator (3) that constitute a generator housing that encloses a generator chamber (30), a bearing assembly (4) for coupling the rotor and the stator, and an annular sealing device (5) for sealing engagement with both the rotor and the stator for sealing the generator (1). The sealing device (5) comprises a sealing device section (6, 7) comprising a body section (14, 15) for arranging partitions (25, 16, 17, 18) of a labyrinth sealing system (9), and a lip section (12, 13) for a lip sealing system (10, 11). This provides the possibility of applying a labyrinth sealing system (9) as well as a lip sealing system (10, 11) for improved sealing of the generator (1).</p> |
