<p>A system for opening and emptying bags containing a flowable food or other product includes an array of baffles assembled from rectangular panels 60 each having a pair of parallel slots 62. During operation the bags are drawn through the system, the baffles bearing on the bags so as to loosen or crush the bag contents. The free ends of the legs of the baffles are received in openings 66 in a pair of plates 64, the facing edges of which are separated by a sinuous groove 65 along which the bag may be drawn.</p> |
