<p>A body protection arrangement comprises a spine protector 14 that resists bending of the spine of a wearer, shoulder protectors 16 that extend over the shoulders to resist damage to the shoulders and torso protectors 20A, 20B that surround the torso to resist crushing. The torso protectors 20A, 20B comprise a band capable of at least partially surrounding the body in use. Each band may comprise pivotally mounted portions 24, 26, 28, 30.
