<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cured composition used for a liquid crystal display device which can form a high-definition pattern without losing various characteristics thereof as a color filter, black matrix, overcoat, rib, spacer, etc., and is excellent in substrate adhesiveness and alkali resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The curable composition comprises (A) an ethylenically unsaturated compound having a secondary hydroxy group, satisfies the following (1) and/or (2) in a loading-unloading test done by a fine hardness tester, and can form a cured material which satisfies the following (3) and/or (4). (1) Deformed amount is 1.35 μm or more. (2) When a displacement with load is 0.25 μm, load N is 0.7 gf or less. (3) Elastic recovery is 50% or more.
