The invention provides a power conversion device, which is advantageous in that, even under the condition that an IGBT element of the power conversion device is broken, and therefore conductive gas is generated due to flying of internal components, short circuit closed circuit with voltage exceeding a rated voltage of a fuse being applied is difficult to generate. The power conversion device is provided with: a plurality of switch elements in a series connection between a positive side DC power source and a busbar of an output AC power; a plurality of switch elements in a series connection between a negative side DC power source and a busbar of an output AC power; a diode element connected between a neutral point DC power source and the switch elements; and an insulating wall preventing short circuit closed circuit caused by conductive gas near the switch elements. The insulation wall is disposed between the switch elements and the fuse, or between the switch elements and the diode module, or between the switch elements and the busbar, or between the switch elements. Or, the insulation wall covers the surrounding of the switch elements. |
