Method for detecting a change within a surveillance area allocated to a presence or surveillance sensor and monitoring system

The method involves generating and transmitting pulse radar signal. An in-detection range of reflected signal is received and evaluated with respect to distance from sensors. The sensors (6,6-1) are aligned and partially overlapped in detectable range for receiving pulse radar signal within assigned detection area (1). The detection area is divided into confinement area (8) and exclusion area by providing boundary (9) at specific location from sensors. A monitoring device located in detection area monitors inside and outside of confinement area and exclusion area. An independent claim is included for a monitoring device.
