PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively producing a regenerated carrier. SOLUTION: The method for producing a regenerated carrier is for regenerating a usable carrier from a used developer which has been used for a predetermined period, and the method includes: a step (A) of separating a carrier component from a used developer; a heat treatment step (B) of performing heat treatment of the separated carrier component in a temperature range from 1000°C to 1250°C in an inert gas atmosphere; and a resin coating step (C) of coating the surface of the carrier core material component, obtained after the heat treatment step, with a resin.
