<p>A method for determining the quantity of deposits and residues from the combustion of solid fuels in boilers for power plants or the like, in which a sensor element is disposed at least in portions in the interior of a combustion chamber of a boiler (1), by way of which element a deposition of sediments or residues from the combustion is ascertained and which communicates with computer means (9) for the evaluation and further processing of detected data relating to the deposits, in which the method is characterized by using a gravimetrically functioning, uncooled measuring probe (10) as a sensor element, which has a heat-resistant rod (2) and a measuring cell (3) coupled with the rod, the rod (2) being introduced through the opening (4), oriented horizontally, into the interior of the boiler (1) without touching the walls of the boiler (1), and the measuring cell (3) being positioned outside the boiler (1).</p> |
