The covering member 11 includes an inner side surface 11A being in contact with the absorber 12 and an outer side surface 11B to come into contact with a vaginal wall when in use. The covering member 11 contains a hydrophobic fiber 101 with a low affinity to water and a hydrophilic fiber 102 with a high affinity to water. In the outer side surface 11B, an abundance ratio of the hydrophobic fiber 101 is higher than an abundance ratio of the hydrophilic fiber 102.
